- Roll 3d6 6 times in order (Str, Dex, Con, Int, Wis, Cha)
- You may set one stat to 14.
- Pick a background (p9) and gain its starter skill at zero.
- Pick Skills
- You first get the skill at zero. If you get the same skill again, it's now 1.
- It can't go above 1 in chargen, so if you get the same skill yet again, it instead turns into an "Any Skill" pick.
- "Any Skill" excludes psychic powers.
- "Any combat" means your choice of stab, shoot, punch.
- "Any Stat" can't raise it above 18. a "+2 any __ stat" can be both on one or one on two stats.
- Find your backgrounds' tables and choose skills by one of three methods:
- Table Rolls: You get three rolls to distribute on Growth and/or Learning.
- Player Choice: You get only two picks, and they only come from Learning.
- Quick Skills: each background has three default skills. The only decision to make is picking "Any __"
