Why Not Scum and Villainy

Why start hacking on Blades when Scum and Villainy exists?

  1. Major: Blades has a free, linkable SRD (and a single page older draft for quick searching.)
  2. Major: Ship design has enough similar but different kinds of add-on that it never stays straight in my head. As I'm a frothing A-Wing nut, I'm going to reboot and rewrite a slightly more crunchy (than DungeonWorld level, at least) Space Tactical Chapter.
  3. Major: Instead of squeezing crew/lair into your scoundrel's ship, my Star Wars needs to allow players to build up the network, rebel cell or otherwise, so the move away from crew management doesn't fit my planned "mid-to-late game." S&V is more the Firefly/Bebop facet, not the other styles that make up Star Wars.
  4. Minor: S&V is still in draft form.
  5. Minor: "Gambits." I don't need more meta mechanics. I could accept them by relabeling them as "momentum of the PCs' chaos." But gambits aren't in Blades, so there's one less meta currency.
